This is the place to find all my work in progress as I begin to pull everything together and coerse it into what is commonly known as an animated short film. Starting at the top with most recent and scroll down to the bottom to find earlier work.
Start your engines!
Built car no.2 with Anita - one BIG balancing act!
Figured out the snow! Polystyrene and two panes of glass moving at different speeds! Simple really.
These are my first tests getting the puppets, backgrounds and lighting under camera.
Made some feet
I'm all set up in the stop-motion room now ready to test and see if my puppets are up to the job
Working small small small, my stubby fingers were not my friends making this! A whole series of tiny cars to come!
Finished making all of my heads!! Wow those tiny pairs of glasses were the definition of finickety.
Working out how to do the pan for scene 09
First puppets completed!!!! Only 16 more to build and only 5 weeks behind schedule!
I had the brainwave today to use plasticine for the pupils instead of paper as it is heavier, quicker and easier to manoeuvre. This was the minimum I could buy down in the uni art shop though...don't think there's any danger of me running out!
My first scene is built! Still to decide how to do the back window of the car... live action? After Effects? Or tradtional the whole way (thats the way I would like to!)
Buiding the car... I have built a 3D front of the car so that when I animate I can move and bump the inside of the car at different rates for some lovely (hopefully) overlapping action.
Trying out some stop-mo lip sync
GOT MY SPACE
First stop, get that story sorted! Which in turn leads to a bedroom floor covered in storyboards
